These chords can be used when you can't stretch your fingers the correct way for the chord. Just use a one for the particular chord you are having trouble making.

Don't worry. After a lot of practice, you will eventually be able to stretch your fingers into the right position to play the regular chords but in the meantime, this will work.

Relax! There are not as many of these chords as there are regular chords. They can be used to make things a lot simpler than they are.

The F chord or the G chord may be hard chords for you to arrange your fingers properly. So you can use these chords to replace them and the sound will still be close enough.

For example, the G chord can also be the G 7th as well. Or the B chord can also be used as the B 7th. They are a good way to learn to play your guitar.

Now you are ready for the chord lessons.

As I usually say, practice and determination are the keys to successfully mastering the guitar. Remember, there is no rush. Take your time. So practice, practice, practice and have fun with it.

As we progress through the lessons, I will add links to songs that you can play with these chords. If you have requests for a guitar tab, I will try to find it for you.
